In an ideal world, at 11:11pm. When there is time and it does not slip between fingers - A reality grounded in ease. It saddens me that we’ve forgotten to amaze ourselves with even the simplest of things - skyscrapers and peculiar points in once day.
Friends, Bon Iver’s Holocene.
All hype and maybe a little flare of ‘oh’. A thousand bucks, all in. Good for 3 to 4 moderate appetites. A swipe of the card and never again.
When I find myself aged at 45, a sense of contentment with what I have done and who I have eased into should at the very least be realized. There is much beauty in how slowing down doesn’t mean being satisfied but rather, at that point, being grateful and happy for things you’ve imparted to others.
Know that It doesn’t always have to be great things. It just has to mean something to you and those who you hold most close to your heart.
